The Tepui of Araçá, located in the state of Amazonas in northwestern Brazil, is a table-like mountain—or mesa—situated in northern South America near the Venezuelan border.
"Tepui" means "Dwelling" or "Home of the Gods" in the Pemón language.
The Araçá Tepui is also of great interest due to an ancient pre-Columbian tradition: it is a sacred site for the Ugha Mongulala, a mysterious tribe led by Tatunca Nara. Indeed, the mountain was originally known as the Tepui Curupira, named after a hybrid being said to inhabit the jungle and guard certain areas of it.

The Ugha Mongulala are a virtually unknown cultural group inhabiting the Brazilian and Peruvian Amazon and parts of Bolivia—a vast region extending roughly from 3° North to 15° South latitude and from 65° to 73° West longitude.
The cultural tradition of the Ugha Mongulala was first shared by Tatunca Nara in the early 1970s. Tatunca Nara is the last descendant of this group.
According to the tradition passed down by Tatunca Nara, the gods arrived on Earth approximately 12,000 years ago.

The origin of the gods is unknown; tradition states only that they came to Earth from the cosmos and instructed the Ugha Mongulala. It is unclear whether the gods "created" the Ugha Mongulala or if the tribe already existed upon their arrival and was merely instructed by them. The names of the gods and their language are sacred—and, consequently, cannot be revealed to others. These civilizing gods laid the cultural foundations for knowledge regarding religion, agriculture, writing, and astronomy.

The gods founded the first City of the Gods, Akakor, and later the Fortress-City of Akahim. Akakor is located in the Peruvian Amazonian Andes, while Akahim lies in the northern Amazon, between Brazil and Venezuela.
Both are underground settlements.

The gods possessed technology unknown on Earth, including "flying ships" or vehicles used for travel. The gods are "like us"—described as "white and tall"—but with a specific difference: they have six fingers on each hand and six toes on each foot. The priests form a sort of Assembly or Supreme Council around a "Guide" or "Leader." This Leader belongs to the royal lineage of the Ugha Mongulala. Their religious worldview is rooted in Nature—specifically, the concept of Life as expressed through Nature's various cyclical manifestations. Their calendar system is based on lunar phases.
Likewise, they hold a concept of great cosmic cycles: a succession of phases or periods that begin and end at specific moments defined by massive cataclysms and floods.

The emblem of the Ugha Mongulala is the Sun rising from the waters and casting thirteen rays. These thirteen rays represent the lunar phases—the synodic months. Consequently, the emblem embodies a fourfold nature: it symbolizes the two principal celestial bodies—the Sun and the Moon—as well as their vital forces and their rhythmic periodicity. The symbol and form of this emblem can be observed in countless "headdresses" or tiaras worn by the god-men depicted in the Americas—spanning virtually the entire region from Tierra del Fuego to Alaska. These anthropomorphic figures are the Huari-Huarijochas, the civilizing deities who disseminated knowledge—or rather, the Sacred Sciences—throughout the continent.

The topics referred to by Tatunca Nara—namely, the account of extraterrestrial gods and their symbolic and iconographic traces, the distinctive ethnic characteristics of the Ugha Mongulala, and the knowledge of cataclysmic cycles and oral traditions passed down by the indigenous leader—are corroborated by pre-Hispanic ethnographic and archaeological evidence. Consequently, they offer a new perspective on this body of knowledge, one that must lay the groundwork for future fieldwork and ethnohistorical investigations aimed at approaching Akakor and Akahim, the Cities of the Gods.

According to Tatunca Nara, a tunnel system exists within the tepui of Araçá, and a large "chamber" containing the gods—two "men" and one "woman"—is located at Akakor. The fourth "casing" is empty. They are “sleeping”—a state that changed, however, in 2024, when Tatunca Nara telephoned my fellow explorer Rafael Videla Eissmann (who was with me in Italy) and spoke three words: “They have awakened.” In general terms, the underground cities where the gods dwelt are not foreign to pre-Hispanic traditions.
Knowledge of the great cycles of creation, destruction, and creation—guided by the gods of pre-Columbian tradition—is found across the entire continent.
Echoing this, when personally interviewed by Rafael Videla Eissmann in the Amazon in 2018, Tatunca Nara said:

"The gods have returned. They are here. The Council of Priests and my priest have informed me of the end of the current cycle. A new catastrophe and a flood. Only a few will be saved in the underground shelters."

Then, reinforcing this idea, he observed:

"In about a year, there will be a great war…In reality, all this originates in the cosmos, in a great activity that began in the Sun and is now reaching Earth. But these are not natural or accidental phenomena; they correspond to forces unleashed by the gods. It is the destruction of the Earth. Yet it is not the “end of the world,” but the beginning of the end of the current cycle and the start of a new one…Seventy percent of humanity will die. It is the will of the gods, of our ancestors."

Finally, Tatunca said:

"The priest has seen what will happen.(…)
The gods are in Antarctica, in the Andes, in the Himalayas. They are immortal. They were known to an older civilization. Today, only a secret society is aware of them.
The gods are here. They use the forces of Nature as a weapon (…) to initiate the next Great Planetary Catastrophe."
